The Numbers Game: How's the Middle Class Doing

We should measure the average middle income from one year and compare it to another in order to see how the middle class is doing.
It does make sense to exclude the elderly when measuring the middle class because their income will not be growing much because they are retired.
It is important to measure the middle class because it tells us a good medium number without the interference of the rich and super rich.
