McKaken claims that the Keynes theory refuses to think about the long term and puts too much emphasis on spending. The basic idea of the Keynes theory is that spending money will solve the problems of the economy. However, when you look at the results today of Keynesian policies, you don't see the expected results. While spending a lot of money can help in the short term, it doesn't address the bigger issues in the economy. Stossel's question, "If you are right, why is your side losing the debate?" hits on the idea that Keynesian policies are easier to lobby for. It is easier to convince people to vote for you when you promise to spend money on them. Many times they don't think about how that politician will get the money to spend but rather focus on the short term effects.
