This video discusses how two presidents who are fiercely opposed to each other are both in favor of tariffs. The creators of this video, however, are opposed to tariffs because of the greater expense it causes for the consumer. He says it is essentially a hidden tax on American consumers because they now have to purchase goods from the US, which is less efficient and more costly in many cases. This also promotes lobbying for subsidies across many industries, which self-sabotages free markets in the long-run.
