Elearning day plans: Hello, all! I hope you have enjoyed a little extra time away from school:). I also hope today will be a good transition back to some productivity. Here's the plan for you today in English 8: 

For your elearning assignment, please complete the final 2 body paragraphs of your essay ("Life is for the _____") and a 2-3 sentence conclusion that wraps up the essay and ties back to your hook. You began typing this essay on Friday during class, and we used a Google document titled with your name and the phrase "Life is for...". Here is a reminder of the paragraph structure: 

Paragraph 1: Hook and Thesis/Claim

Paragraph 2: Prove to support your claim, including specific examples

Paragraph 3: Another reason/way that supports your claim, including specific examples 

Paragraph 4:  Your thoughts on this hierarchy (good or bad) OR a way/solution that could counteract the negativity of this social hierarchy

Paragraph 5: A 2-3 sentence conclusion that restates your main claim in a new way and ties back to your hook.

A few other reminders: 

1. This is a good day to check PowerSchool. Are you missing work in any class? Do you need to email a teacher? For my class specifically, check to be sure you turned in your propaganda assignment. Email me if you turned it in, but you don't have a grade (msteffen@blackhawkchristian.org). 
2. You will have diagramming videos this week, but they will be due on Thursday instead of Wednesday. If you have extra time, get them done today!
