Economic Utopias

Is there some idealistic "utopian" form of economics that theoretically would work in paridise, but is unachievable on this earth? I'm not talking about communism or socialism, but rather, could a community of Christians, with different skills, be able to supply everything that a town needs? If money lets economies grow, outputting more than was put in, could the same thing be achieved in a small settlement, with a couple dozen people and no money?

Yes, even a pure marketplace economy is utopian. At one point I caught myself saying "pure capitalism has never been tried" and I realized how naive I was in assuming that only socialists were being pie in the sky utopians.
