so if the canes guy believes that saving is bad, what did he think about putting your money in investments or saving up for things or saving money for thier kids future?

We will get to this tomorrow, but he would call this the paradox of thrift. His claim is that saving is good for the individual pursuing their goals, but bad for the economy overall.
