Knowing that sports in general make and spend billions of dollars each year, how does the money spent on a player (such as Shohei Ohtani making 700 million dollars) affect GDP and inflation? What affect to player salaries have especially if the player doesn't turn out to be as popular as a team once thought and therefore doesn't bring in enough revenue?
