I would say that I look up to when talking about speech craft role models is Mr. Hyde. Sophomore and Junior year I had him as a teacher, he always has a way of telling something that can be extremely boring, actually sound interesting. He has the flow in his tone when he speaks. It is not monotone, and keeps the class engaged. I enjoyed listening to him in class because it felt more like a conversation rather than the teacher blabbing to students for 45 minutes. He does a good job of connecting with students while he teaches. I know that he doesn’t necessarily present a speech, but I would say teaching is like a speech in a way. You have an audience, the teacher has the floor, and the students are listening and soaking in what the teacher is saying.

I agree completely with what you wrote! I love how you explained what sets him apart from many other speakers or teachers. You did a great job describing his ability to draw his students in and make the class feel more like a conversation.

I totally agree with you. Hyde was always really good at keeping people engaged and interested in whatever he was lecturing about.

I love that you chose Mr. Hyde as one of your role models, I would definitely agree with this choice. I liked how you talked about how he can take a boring topic and make it into something interesting. I also loved how you mentioned that his speeches feel more similar to conversations.

I agree with your pick of Mr. Hyde! I think that he is very passionate about what he speaks on, and his lengthy knowledge keeps the audience impressed! I've always enjoyed listening to Mr. Hyde in class and like his style of teaching.

I agree as well. Mr. Hyde has a fluctuating tone and a sense of humor that helps keep students interested and engaged. I liked the part where you talked about his tendency to draw the class in and make it feel like a discussion rather than a lecture. Great Job!
