The type of noise that most affects me as well as distracts me is internal noise. I tend to be in my own head a lot before I go up and speak in front of everyone, or even when I am a part of the audience. It's like something in me is nervous; the anticipation of waiting to be the next person to speak or fearing that the person speaking will mess up is what really gets to me. I start worrying and then my hands get shaky and my body twitches. Sometimes I like to just cup my hands together and just use pressure points in my hands to calm myself down. Another thing is shaking my leg. I have a lot of anxiety, but it helps to at least be moving a little bit to calm myself down.
