I would say that internal noise affects and distracts me the most. I sometimes find myself focused on being hungry, tired or stressed over something which causes me to be distracted from what the speaker is saying. Not only do I just get distracted, but I focus on the internal noise so much that I can’t stop thinking about it. One thing I do to help this distracting noise is reel myself in and truly try to think about what the speaker is saying. Although this doesn’t always work, sometimes I begin to realize that I am fixated on what the speaker is talking about rather than my internal thoughts. In conclusion, internal noise and distractions affect me the most when it comes to listening.
