Chapter 3 Response

I think it is important to not only talk about things you have looked up on google, but also discuss things you generally believe in about your topic. This will provide a better description of you to the audience. To strike a balance it is important to make sure you're using the correct facts and information in your topic but as well going off of those facts with your opinion and thoughts on them. I feel like I've crossed the line when I just read off a script and it's not really my thinking in the moment.

This is good, we all cross that line. I especially do when I am also reading from a script. It is hard for me to read it naturally when I see a script. I become monotone and not really engaged .My thoughts are elsewhere.

I agree with this Miles. I love how you mentioned how reading off a script can affect your speech negatively. That is so true, and authenticity is very important when it comes to making speeches.

I definitely agree! I think I can cross the line when I am not inputting my opinions or thoughts into a topic, but just reading stats or what other people say.

Yes, I agree. You need the facts in order to have a speech but just reading a script doesn't connect with the audience.
