I think I could achieve this by finding common ground. Some of our speeches are persuasive or argumentative, and some people will not agree with what I have to say. By establishing common ground, finding some similarities, and acknowledging our differences, I think will ease the tension. For example, my first speech was about gymnastics and Miles disagreed with what I had to say. At the beginning of my speech, I mentioned golf to acknowledge the difficulty of it, along with other sports in the room. He also did the same when he gave his speech.
