Chapter 8 Response

Establishing goodwill with your audience is fairly straightforward and simple. You want to show the audience that you don’t think they are stupid or their opinions and experiences do not matter. You can do this by discussing controversies with grace and kindness. You can also relate to the audience by telling a story or just showing in general that you are passionate about your topic. For my next speech I can do a better job of showing the audience that I have thought of them in advance for my topic in the introduction.
