When you are giving a speech, your delivery and body communication are very important aspects. In some instances, your delivery or body communication can contradict the message. If you are saying one thing but your delivery is portraying something else, it can be confusing to the audience. For example, you can say that you are super confident about your topic but if you don't seem enthusiastic or passionate with your body language, the audience may not know what to believe. The impact of this contradiction can be people losing interest in your speech or thinking that you are not credible. During your speeches, you want to ensure that what you are saying matches how you are acting.

This is a very well written response, Meghan. I love how you mentioned the audience loosing interest in the speaker and sometimes not knowing what to believe.

This is close to what I said. It is very important that you as a person match the tone of your speech in body communication.

I agree that the delivery contradicting the message can be confusing to the audience. I also said that the delivery needs to match the message to bring in the audience.
