Delivery or body communication can contradict the message if someone's tone or body language does not match the topic they are talking about. If someone is giving a celebratory speech with a sluggish or uninterested tone, the audience may struggle to interpret the main point of the speech. Same for a speech given with a more sad mood, such as a speech about a tragedy from history, if the speech is delivered with joy and lots of excitement it may be confusing for the audience to perceive.
