Chapter 13 Response

Chapter 13 Response

When I was younger I went to a lot of weddings for people that my parents knew. I'm not sure if it was because I was an impatient little kid or not, but I remember the weddings that I would go to always felt unnecessarily long. During the weddings, there was a lot of celebrating and celebratory speeches, and I think the issue was that each speech said the same thing, it was just being told by a different person. When reading this chapter, I liked the advice it gave when it was talking about toasts. The book said that you should find out how long you have to give your toast, and to try to make it shorter than that. This way your toast is to the point and not too lengthy or wordy.

This was great Nora! I loved how you said the toast should be straight to the point instead of unnecessarily long.

Great response, Nora! I love what you said about making sure the speech is brief. I bet many people can relate to being bored in a wedding.
