Chapter 13 discussed celebratory speeches and the key factors that make them successful. The expectations for a eulogy include the honoring of the deceased and the remembrance of their life. When I was much younger, one of my family members spoke at my great-grandmas funeral.  Even though she was very emotional, she did an amazing job in delivering the speech. She told many small stories and reminded the crowd about all of the amazing qualities that my great grandmother had. She honored my grandmothers life, while also unifying the audience. She brought the community together by reminding them of so many great memories. Even though the mood was sad, people began to light up and smile because of the heartfelt speech.

This is amazing. Funerals are a celebration of life. I like how you said that it can be unify the audience. I never thought of it that way.

That sounds amazing! Even though it was a super emotional time for everyone, telling stories is a great way to bring the family together to mourn.
