Funerals

I have attended a few funerals in my day, whether I knew the person personally or not. The audience expectations during these speeches were to praise the person who had passed on, as well as comforting us that they were in a better place and now looking down on us. They were definitely successful in their goal of showing their appreciation and admiration of the subject of the speech.

The audience expectations at funerals are always the hardest to know what or what not to say, especially if you do not know the relationship with each member.

I feel the same, almost all of the funerals I have been to have been sad, but more so celebratory of the person's life
