Chapter 15 Response

     A person in my life that I would consider to have the highest credibility is Mr. Luessenhop. For starters, Hop is a very honorable person; he keeps his word, loves the Lord, and does his best at all he does, including teaching. The way he teaches is the same reason that I would consider him to be so credible. When he's teaching, he is doing it with the class's best interest in mind. No student likes to listen to someone who doesn't even care about their education, so I think his heart for teaching is the first part of why I consider him to be so credible. Another reason I would say this is that he is constantly working to master his craft. If students have questions that he doesn't particularly know the answer to, he commits to figuring out the answer and reporting it back to you when he can. This also leads me to the fact that he doesn't pretend to know things that he doesn't know in order to protect his ego. Like I mentioned previously, Hop isn't ashamed to not know something, but rather he figures it out and continues to grow with us. Other teachers sometimes act like they know the answer or completely dodge the question as a whole in order to seem more intelligent, but Hop's transparency in what he does or does not know is something I really appreciate. Lastly, Hop presents his information well. Many teachers know and understand the information, but do not deliver it well. This results in confusion and a lessened confidence in the teacher as a whole, but there has never been a time where I have been confused by Hop to the point of losing confidence in him as a teacher. In summary, Mr. Luessenhop is someone that I would consider to have a very high level of credibility due to his heart, work ethic, transparency, and delivery when he teaches and in life overall.
