Excellent! I would have agree with you - if standards for vehicles force all manufacturers to have features that make them safer and more fuel efficient, then if we repealed these standards, more cars could be created that are less safe and less fuel efficient. However, while I am wealthy enough to afford the current standards, others in the states may not be. Now that these standards are removed, manufacturers may be able to make more affordable cars for those who care about affordability more than safety or fuel efficiency. Good analysis!
