Chapter 5 response

The AMA has limited the amount of doctors there by placing extra steps in the process of becoming one. Before there were so many requirements for doctors, a person could choose what kind of doctor they wanted even if they weren't totally qualified to help them. Since then, many colleges have been shut down because they weren't able to meet the standards of what a new incoming doctor should learn. Women and people of color were also discriminated against, as well as people with lower incomes. The AMA added so many rules to shallow the pool so that rich white men could occupy this occupation without fear of competition.

I agree. The colleges being shut down are definitely a sign that things have gone to far.
