Chapter 5 Read, Respond, Reply

Whether it's their intention to limit the amount of healthcare or simply a side affect of adding unnecessary regulation, the AMA is shrinking the supply of doctors. As more regulations are placed on the education and training of doctors, the barriers to entry that perspective doctors are trying to overcome is also raised. Having higher medical standards is fantastic, if there is still an adequate number of doctors going through the process of reaching them. For now the standards are difficult and risky for most individuals. Individuals that may make for adequate medical professionals, if only the barriers were lower.
