Ryan McKaken critiques Keynes by saying that the theory is built on spending. Spending is fine, as long as producing is also happening, however Keynes seems to lack that in his theory. He thinks that spending will fix the economy. Spending money is only in the short term, it is not a long term solution. Stossel asks, "If you are right, why is your side losing the debate?" At first it is easy to allign with Keynes that spending money on yourself is the best option, however, later an effective economy is more important. It is important to not only look at the present, but also the long term effects.
