Tariffs

Both political parties like tariffs. But tariffs are bad. Tariffs restrict trade in every scenario. This is not good because trade makes economies healthier. It allows more people to be better off. Tariffs result in increased prices that both producers and consumers do not want to pay. This causes everything to cost more. Because of this tariffs are bad overall for economies.

Period. Also, Trump and Biden both support tariffs because they promote American businesses and thus create wealthier Americans.

I enjoyed how you got straight to the point. very straightforward, tariffs are bad. And that is exactly the stance that many politicians should consider. Though it may appear as though it is helping save us jobs, what about the other businesses that have relied on the cheaper materials to produce such affordable products? Also, if you remember from the last discussion board, jobs in America are not that hard to come by despite popular media belief. Things are not as bad as they seem, and just adding tariffs into the mix is doing nothing but harm in the long run.
