Prompt Options for Essay Practice

Prompt #1:
How would you describe Lieutenant Rahms' character? What kind of person is he, based on the text, and how do you know? Be sure to include at least two pieces of evidence from chapter 11.
Prompt #2:
How would Corrie have answered Lieutenant Rahms' question, "What kind of God would have let that old man die here in Scheveningen?", if she had had the chance? Do you agree with what she would have said or would you have said something different? You only need to use one piece of evidence from the text.
Prompt #3:
What does Lieutenant Rahms likely mean when he says he's "in prison...a prison stronger than this one"? Explain what he means and how you know by using at least two pieces of evidence from the text.
