Working with Kids Experience

We are diving into our next topic, which is figuring out our strengths. One way to do that is to try out various experiences to see how we feel about them. 

For one week (November 13-17) you will spend each class period in a preschool or elementary classroom. PRIOR to that week, you will create an age-appropriate activity to present to the children on Friday, November 15 (or Thursday, if that works better for your host teacher). 

November 13-17 will look like this: 

1. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: you will simply observe! You will need to take some notes, since one part of your quiz grade for this topic will be a reflection on what you noticed about this grade level. 

2. Thursday or Friday (or both, again, depending on the ideas of your host teacher): you will present a lesson or a project for your classroom to complete!

3. Your quiz grade is two-fold: a. a reflection on the specific age group you observed and the experience of being in the classroom and presenting a lesson or project, and b. the actual project/lesson you will create or present
