Lesson Plan Assignment

In order to prepare for being in the classroom, you and your partner(s) are going to create a lesson plan for the grade level with which you will be working. Here are the steps: 

1. Go to the Indiana Department of Education website and view the state standards for your grade level, here: State Standards
2. Choose a subject area and a state standard (or two) that your group would enjoy teaching. 
3. Copy and paste the state standards you chose directly into a lesson plan template in Google Docs (there are several options).
4. Save that lesson plan template with your group's first names and the grade level in the document title spot.
5. Brainstorm or scour the Internet for lesson plan ideas that meet that state standard! 
6. Complete the lesson plan template once you've found a lesson plan idea. 
7. Present the lesson to your classroom of students next week OR to our classroom (if your host teacher prefers you to do something he/she has planned).
