My speech role model is my dad. Whenever he goes up to speak on Wednesdays or in church on Sundays he makes it look like he's done it for ages. He is always so calm, composed, and confident when he speaks. He has told me that he still gets nervous but he tries his best not to show it. My dad has also said that his knowledge of theology also helps him with his messages because then he can tie it to other lessons without having a dry moment.

Your dad is a very intelligent and skillfully public speaker. I find that his presence on a stage is calming and relaxing, and I don't doubt that anything he says is true.

I love that you chose your dad, and I couldn't agree more. Your dad is a very good public speaker and definitely has tips and tricks that can be applied into our lives. Mentioning that knowing the background of what you are presenting or speaking on is a huge component in a successful speech. Dry moments may happen, but being able to get out of them quickly and efficiently is a huge advantage and strong characteristic to have. Love your dad and love that you chose him as your model.

I agree that your dad is a good speech role model. I appreciate how you included the detail that when you've asked him he has said that his rootedness in theology helps. It is very impactful and comforting to hear that my youth pastor fully relies on God and His scripture!
