Feeling v. Logic

Feeling v. Logic

To balance between feeling and logic when giving a speech, we must use psychological audience analysis, which, unlike normal audience analysis, focuses on the emotional, an anticipation of the audience's feelings, to change them and possibly their beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, and values. Like a quarterback on the football field, you need to have logic to read the field, or audience's disposition, to make an accurate 'speech pass,' one with feeling and emotion, to successfully communicate to the audience about your position. You cross the line when you use only feeling and no logic, or only logic and no feeling in a speech.
