It is very important for a speech to contain realistic logic as well as ones own thoughts and emotions; there is a line for both of them and the balance of that line will depend on who your speaking to and where you are. If you lean too emotionally you will be unable to get proper information out of yourself and are more likely to cause offence to a listener. In contrast, if you don't use enough emotion you will make a boring and uninteresting speech that people will passively turn out. It is essential to gauge the audience's reaction and gestures to understand how you should approach and proceed.
