Chapter 4 Response

I landed on my opinion speech topic of different schooling styles based on the fact that it is relevant to where I am presently and also because it causes the audience to think and chew on the information I gave because it affects their lives as well. I pursued it because it was interesting to me to see the pros and cons of going to school all year round and I also found a lot of information that made my presentation very easy to research and validate. I think I will continue to look for topics that are interesting to me personally because it makes the research and planning process much less tedious and I will also look for topics that would affect my life. For my persuasive speech specifically I will probably choose a topic that is controversial or debatable so that I can clearly demonstrate my stance and effectively represent it to my audience.
