1) I landed on my topic of: Why final exams are unnecessary because I purposefully considered what was not only relevant to me, but also the people in the audience. I was speaking to my fellow classmates, who take the same exams I do, and a teacher who gives and proctors said final exams.
2) I plan on going about topic selection in the same way. Finding common ground between me and the audience so that I can speak with passion and personal experience, while also keeping the audience engaged.
