How I picked my topic

How I picked my topic

1) I landed on a topic for my opinion speech by choosing something I cared about and thought was interesting for myself, but would also be interesting for those I was speaking to. Through some simple research on my topic I was able to create a quality train of thought that led me to create my speech.

2) I anticipate selecting topics for future presentations by doing research on a few topics and choosing a final topic by choosing one that I care about and one that I know a lot about. I will only be able to give quality informative and persuasive speeches by knowing what I am speaking about. How am I able to deliver a good speech without knowing information or caring about the speech I am giving. That is how I plan to prepare future speeches.

I agree that choosing a topic you are interested in makes a big difference in the final quality of the speech. I also agree that a speech where the presenter is monotonous creates a boring speech environment for the audience as well.
