1) How did you land on a topic for your opinion speech. What led you to pursue that train of thought?

I chose the topic of barefoot lifestyle as my topic because it is something I like to do all the time. It also is an interesting enough topic that people wouldn’t get bored listening too. Everyone has feet, well hopefully, whereas if I was making my opinion speech about football or sports, not everyone would relate. I think that this was a good topic to share because it is also not talked about often. There seems to be this embarrassment that comes from having your feet out, and I never got it. I think having your feet out is healthy and can benefit you

2) How do you anticipate selecting topics for some of the future presentations, particularly the information and persuasive speeches?

I say that when choosing a topic, don’t pick the topic that is boring to everyone, I say try to pick a topic that people can relate to. The homework topic was a good example of this. Sports isn;t such a good topic. I think to do an informative speech you want to chose something that you would be interested in as well, so that you are also not bored giving the speech and can be excited about when talking.

Very interesting topic for sure, but your right about the relevance to almost all people. I love how you talked about not picking something that is boring to people.

Your topic was very interesting for the opinion speech. I agree that your topic should be something interesting and relevant to everyone, so that it doesn't get boring for the audience.
