The way I landed on my topic was by having ChatGPT list out of bunch of possible topics. There are not many things that come to mind when I need to write a 7 minute speech persuading my audience, so ChatGPT was of great use to me. The idea of starting school an hour or so later seems like something that could be changed in the future. More sleep is always accepted, so the idea of an extra hour was intriguing to say the least.
For my information speech, I have been interested in my topic ever since I first heard about it. Everything about the tragedy of 9/11 is so intriguing to me just because of all the conspiracies around it, the scar it left on the world, and how many lives were changed that day.
