Chapter 4 Response

Choosing a topic for a speech can cause difficulty for some, but for me it came somewhat easy. I did have to sit and think, but I knew there were subjects I am passionate about which could be great for speeches. Therefore, I landed on the negatives of Snapchat because not only did I feel strongly about it, but it was relevant to every one of my peers. I know I picked the right topic, too because of the feedback I got from my classmates whilst giving the speech and even afterward. For my upcoming speeches I anticipate selecting topics that are again relative to my audience and myself. For the information, I have landed on doing Taekwondo versus Karate because I used to do Taekwondo, and many of my peers have asked me the difference over the years. Regarding my persuasive speech, I have not chosen a topic yet, but it very well may be about social media because it is overwhelmingly used by my generation. Also, since I have social media, but have also taken month breaks from it at a time I have personal experience of the way it affects our mindsets and happiness. If I do not follow through with the idea of social media I am also considering doing a persuasion speech about going on at least one mission trip in each person's lifetime.
