Research Anxiety

Research Anxiety

I do agree with this statement. Personally when I hear research, I have this feeling of instant anxiety. It is the amount of work I have to do, and making sure I cite my sources and not plagiarize. I think that when you hear the word research paper, you automatically get nervous because it is relaying information that you had to search for. It is not an opinion which you can just make points yourself. It is a bigger assignment than an opinion speech. Some things that can help this anxiety when it comes to a research speech or paper, is planning it out on paper. Using pictures, signs, arrows and more to piece all the puzzle together to complete your assignment. The visual way of organizing can help you be precise when you are working on trying to quote the right sources with the right point.

I definitely agree just knowing how much work it is gonna be can be so stressful, but sometimes the best thing to do is just to start it and not think about it.

I always get nervous about the idea of plagiarism. It makes it so much more stressful to have to cite all of your sources so you don't plagiarize, but it's necessary.

I totally understand the freak out thinking about how much work research projects are. I agree it is overwhelming sometimes but you have a really creative and good solution to try!

I agree with the anxiety of trying to not plagerise especially when I am paraphrasing from a research/source.

Yes, I completely understand this! I like the idea of planning out on paper because of the visual organization! This is very relatable and I like how you worded this, Marnie.

I agree with this, I think that research causes a lot of anxiety for a lot of people while researching, and the fear of plagiarism can also be a huge factor for inducing anxiety.
