This is a very interesting survey in my opinion. I had never thought of the anxiety that way, but it makes a lot of sense. I think that since so much information is right at our fingertips at this time, many people don't know where to start. I can relate to this a lot because it can feel like there is so much going on at once. A way to prevent this could be to write a list of ideas you might have, or to pick a topic you are very passionate about.
I agree, I think narrowing down your topic before you start researching can help eliminate a lot of researching anxiety before it even starts, because it is not such an information overload if you do it this way.
