I would say that I agree with this survey. Personally, I dislike starting research papers because there is so much work to do. You have to find a topic, use creditable sources on that topic, and make sure your information is in the correct format. Something I do to manage the work load is only looking up sources that use a .gov or .edu, so I know they are creditable. I also use Purdue owl to create my citations for me. Picking a topic can be trickier, but I usually go with something I am interested in or have experience with.
I also agree with the survey, especially if you have to give the speech earlier than others and are busy with other school projects, so you have less time to prepare. The anxiety of hoping your speech is long enough and of good quality is quite stressful.
