It seems that many people when given a research project worry about their new task. I would say that the 8/10 students seems to be accurate. I personally do not panic or have anxiety about research projects. However, it is noticeable that information overload causes many students to have anxiety. I think that students have a false perception of how much information it is, and they overestimate the amount of work they are being tasked with. Having reliable research databases would be an easy way to relax students when they are tasked with research projects.
I agree that most of the anxiety comes from overestimation and fear of falling behind. I also like your solution of having research databases where students can get all of their information in one place without having to worry about falsities or unverified information.
