I would agree with the results of the survey that when starting a research project the anxiety levels are risen due to the amount of pressure and stress put onto finding information. Not only are students in need of lots of information for their research project, but they need information that supports their topic and is scholarly and is able to be used. This heavy need and requirement can cause lots of stress and anxiety for the student, even before they have begun. Personally for me, big projects that require an immense amount of research and searching for scholarly information can cause stress and often creates a lot of anxiety for me. In order to beat the build up of stress and anxiety I always try to remain cool, calm, and collected and try to get as far ahead as possible in my research. It is also super helpful to use tools such as databases and other online resources to confirm that your research and information is scholarly and credible. While stress can be created from research and finding information, it can be dealt with and overall can be overcome using techniques and tools to do so.
