Honestly, I think it really depends on how much you know your audience. The more you know the individuals that will be partaking in this speech, the more you know how to approach the speech. If you think they need more aid in critical thinking and being part of a discussion, then provide the slideware. If they on the other hand actually need more focus and facts are unnecessary, then I would approach this by providing them a speech without all the statistics and slideware. Although that may seem easy at first to see, it actually is a lot more complicated than it looks. This is the result due to the difficulty to use the slideware during the right place and right time. In fact, I believe that none of mankind has perfected this yet, even if you were Paul the Apostle. According to Acts 20, Eutychus; a person listening to Paul's teachings all day long, had accidentally fallen asleep at about midnight during Paul's speech. He also was by the window, which resulted in the falling from the third floor of the building, onto the ground and died. Not even the Apostle Paul could find a perfect place or time to have this teaching explained or preached!
