If a speaker is sharing a story about being happy or proud of an achievement, but they keep their arms crossed, frown, or look away from the audience, it can be confusing. The audience might start to wonder if the speaker is actually proud or if they are hiding something. Body language, especially facial expressions and posture, can sometimes contradict what is being said. To improve as a speaker, it is important to make sure your gestures, stance, and expressions match the message you are sharing.

That is very true cruz, having your body and words line up in theme is essential.

I appreciate your examples of arms crossed or facial expressions. I think those are really noticeable and impactful to the audience.
