I once did a speech at my Grandpa's funeral. I personally didn't know my Grandpa really well but I was able to know him enough to give a speech about our past memories and experiences together. The expectations from the audience could be a lot with things such as up lifting, emotional, or celebratory since that's what my Grandpa wanted, he didn't want everyone to be sad but instead to be happy since he is in a better place now. The speech went well as it was emotional for me.
