Opportunity Cost with Cars

In the video, opportunity cost is shown in many ways but is not directly stated. The guy essentially explains that strict safety and fuel rules make cars more expensive, so the better option is to remove some of those rules. However, the opportunity cost of doing so would be giving up safer cars and better fuel efficiency, which some people still highly value. On the other hand, forcing someone to buy a newer and more expensive car with those features leads to an opportunity cost of what else the buyer could do with that money, such as buying a used car or using public transportation. In the end, I took away that the next best option or opportunity cost is different for everyone depending on their situation. Basically, there is no one perfect solution because each side and situation has different opportunity costs.
