Due to the winter season’s affect on mental health and the overall fluctuation of emotions by everyone, it should be made a law to have to own at least one animal in the house at all times. Not only would this reduce the number of animals in shelters per year, it would stabilize the average individual’s mental health. Along with this, there will be more job opportunities for dog walkers and overall workers will increase their efforts at work. There’s a reason the dog’s is labeled “a man’s best friend.” We must focus on people’s health and specifically their mental health.

I think this is a wonderful idea. It solves the problem of excess animals in shelters, and increases profit for stores, due to people buying dog food, cat food, and other things for their new pets.

I second your motion! This is an incredible idea and very good stewardship of our resources. I completely agree that this would increase mental health and decrease excess supply of animals in shelters. Great idea!
