On behalf of the committee of distinguished authors and scholars, we hereby petition that the internet be taken away. The internet is taking away many profits from us authors of real books. Instead of having to come and buy books if you want to learn about something, people nowadays can just search it up on the internet and know in five seconds. If we ban the internet through law, people will have no choice but to buy more books and read more. This will benefit us authors very much. We spend our time, money, and hard work into research upon more research to write these books, and then the internet just goes and gives them the information for free. This would also open up more opportunities for people to become authors and write books of their own. People would be more encouraged to become a professional in one field, instead of a jack of all trades through the internet.
