Read vv. 1-11

1.     Where do Peter and John go to?  Why? 

2.     The beggar asks for money or goods (alms = see explanation below).  How do Peter and John respond?  Vv. 6-7

Almsgiving was one of the main ways to show kindness and was thus considered a major expression of one’s devotion to God. With their minds set on worship, those who entered the temple for the evening sacrifice and prayer would be particularly disposed to practice their piety by generously giving alms to a lame beggar.

Almsgiving = giving money or good as an outward sign of worship and devotion.

4.     What is the impact of this healing? 

Peter now has an opportunity: to explain what God is doing here. God provides the Miracle that Peter and John perform.  This miracle provides an opportunity for the Gospel to shared!
