Internal Noise

Personally, I believe that internal noise can be the most distracting form of noise. Whether I am thinking about another class, or my plans for the weekend, those thoughts always have a way of making me loose focus. When there are a million things going on in my head it becomes tempting to dwell on all of the personal tasks and worries ahead of me. In order to ensure focus during a presentation, I try my hardest to focus on every word that the speaker is saying. If I put all of my effort into every single word, it becomes easier to slowly come back to the moment and track with the speaker again. It is very easy to let your mind drift off, but there are also ways to regain focus again.

I can totally relate. I think about other classes all the time and it gets me off track! Hanging on every word is a good way to stay focused!

I also relate to this. I also try to focus on the speakers words when I loose attention and doze off in my thoughts!

I also try to focus on every single word the speaker is saying to try to regain my focus.

I completely agree! This explained exactly how I feel! Thinking about things in the future distract me from listening to what is going on right in front of me!
