To strike a balance with feelings and logic in your speech, I believe that you should focus on feelings at least as much as you focus on logic. By doing this, you can reach the entire human being of the audience instead of just the rational part. If you are only presenting facts and statistics in your speech, then you have probably crossed the line. It is harder to reach people that way, especially as a public speaker. Neurologists say that human reason functions in union with feelings and cannot work without them. So, if your presentation includes a lot of logistics, you should be sure to include just as many feelings so your speech connects with the audience better.

I agree that feelings do have a connection with reason, which also makes me wonder if those are instinctual habits throughout humanity.

I very well agree with you Cruz! Being able to reach the entire audience is more important than stating your points in only your ways.
